According to the details of discussions shared in the meeting released to the press, the president of IIUI has an aim to establish an engineering department in IIUI University, having international standards and ability to be best in country.
Furthermore, the President of IIUI thanked the PEC representatives for their support to the University. The International Islamic University is a Public University based in Islamabad Pakistan. It was established in 1980. It is offering more than 100 degree programmes to, under graduate, graduate and post graduate students in subjects of science, engineering, engineering technology, humanities, arts, religious studies, law, social and natural sciences.
According to HEC rankings 2018 here is the list of Best Engineering Universities of Pakistan:
Pakistan is geographically very important country in South East Asia and one of the largest country in terms of population. The educational system of Pakistan is directly linked with its progress among its neighbors. Pakistan shares its borders with titans like India and China. Both of its neighbors have made huge breakthrough in their educational field and bagged an important place in world. It puts more pressure on economically unstable Pakistan to keep up with the progress of its neighbors.
Although, many of Pakistani universities and higher education institutes have been functioning for decades. But still a few of them have been able to get a credible position in world rankings. It will be worth appreciating the work of our few Universities which have managed to give quality education to Pakistani youth. The International Islamic University is one of those few Universities. It is centre of Islam, theology and the Islamic sciences in Pakistan. HEC has recognized its work and it had got 4 th position in general universities category by the Higher Education Commission (Pakistan) in 2012.
Now the addition of engineering department in IIUI is a good initiative by PEC to meet the rising need of engineers in Pakistan.
