An establishment of vocational university in Pakistan offered by a Chinese Group
Vocational university is a university which offers education in learning special skills in IT and engineering fields rather than academic knowledge. Punjab Tianjin University of Pakistan (PTUT), has been established with collaboration of three prestigious Chinese Universities such as Tianjin University of Technology and Education, Tianjin Polytechnic University, Tianjin Chenjian University. Now China’s St Fulin Group under the project China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), has proffered to open another vocational university in Pakistan to meet the raising demands to gain technical education among Pakistani students. This project is also initiated to give skills to more individuals for participation in CPEC project.
Benefits of Vocational Education for students
Vocational education is substantial tool for the development of any country. The attainment of skills through vocational diplomas and degrees are fastest way for getting employment. Besides, vocational institutes have flexible timings with morning and evening classes, the students who are working part time, can always benefit themselves by gaining skills. Many vocational diplomas are short, mostly lasting from 6 months to a year. These kinds of diplomas are highly considered in terms of employment. Furthermore, the vocational diplomas have edge of learning the practical work in the field instead of labs and internship programmes. The on field learning process is more accurate and applicable. Technical education is promoted and encouraged all over the world, the availability of jobs is immense.
CPEC increased employment opportunities
The CPEC project can be unarguably called the biggest investment project signed between two countries. CPEC has said to be resulting in the creation more than 2.3 million jobs during the years between 2015–2030. This project is linked with Marshall Plan obligated by the United States in post-war Europe.CPEC’s project launchofficial statement was made in 2015, during state visit of Xi Jinping to Pakistan. Xi Jinping upon his visit to Pakistan commented,"This will be my first trip to Pakistan, but I feel as if I am going to visit the home of my own brother." On CPEC’s impact on Pakistan, China's prime minister, Li Keqiang, said that Pakistan might "wean the populace from fundamentalism"
